The Critical Infrastructure Security Coordination Centre (CISCC) organised the third Foundation Module of the Critical Infrastructure Protection Course in mid-September, which was participated by 24 managerial grade officers. In addition to officers from the Correctional Services Department, Customs and Excise Department, Fire Services Department, Government Flying Service, Immigration Department and the Force, representatives from four major critical infrastructure (CI) operators, namely CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd, Hongkong Electric Company Ltd, Aviation Security Company Ltd and MTR Corporation Ltd (MTRCL), were invited for the first time to attend the module.

The 4-day module aimed to enhance the security and counter-terrorism awareness at the management level of relevant departments and CI operators. The speakers came from the Security Bureau, Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit, Crime Wing, Operations Wing and Security Wing. The Director of the Aviation Security Training Centre of Hong Kong International Aviation Academy Mr William Yeung was invited to share real cases on identification of suspicious behaviours. On top of visiting the MTR facilities and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge for on-site inspection of CI security measures, the officers received VR training through the Immersive Cube of Experience.

CISCC is actively planning for the first Advanced Module as the extension of the Foundation Module.
