To facilitate the exchange with frontline commanders and provide insights on discipline issues, Discipline Division (DD) has been launching a series of Regional Discipline Roadshows. The first two roadshows were held in Kowloon East (KE) and North Territories South (NTS) Regional Headquarters on June 19 and September 19 respectively, attracting over 160 inspectorate officers from KE, Kowloon West, NTS and New Territories North with positive feedback received.
In addition to overviewing the overall trend of Force discipline situation, DD officers shared useful tips in conducting disciplinary reviews and disciplinary proceedings with real-life cases. Those cases also demonstrated the importance of collaboration between formations, DD and Force Discipline Adjudication Unit in handling urgent cases. Besides, officers of Internal Investigation Office also attended the roadshows to deliver integrity-related messages highlighting common pitfalls and misconduct in view of recent cases and the importance of supervisors’ roles.
The third roadshow will be held in the fourth quarter of this year. Inspectorate officers from Hong Kong Island, Marine and Headquarters Units will be invited to attend.
