The Recruitment Division (RECDIV) kick-started the 2-month Police University Recruitment Express (PURE) at 12 local universities on September 13. RECDIV included the Basic Law and National Security Law Test for the first time to facilitate undergraduates aspiring to joining the Force to do so soon after their graduation. Over 570 probationary inspector (PI) applications were received, marking its peak since PURE started in 2022.
During the activities, RECDIV officers briefed the attendees on the selection process. Officers from Airport Security Unit, Counter Terrorism Response Unit, Police Dog Unit and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau, as well as alumni who were now Police Mentorship Programme mentors from the various universities attended to share their insight on policing work.
