The fourth cohort of the Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) Programme jointly organised by the Police College (the College) and Tsinghua University has commenced. Apart from arranging lectures at its Beijing campus and Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, the University, for the first time, has arranged a professor to travel to Hong Kong to give lectures at the College since September. The first professor invited to lecture in Hong Kong was Dean of the Institute for 21st Century Development under School of Public Policy & Management of Tsinghua University Prof Deng Guosheng. Prof Deng aimed at training “public affairs leaders to guide the country’s development and human progress” through passing on his expertise in public management. His students also engaged in class discussions on various public management topics.
