KOL Scheme Workshop
The Junior Police Call (JPC) KOL Minibean Scheme, which is organised by the Community Relations Bureau under the Public Relations Wing (PR Wing), aims to train JPC members to become JPC Minibeans (a pseudonym for young editors of JPC). They will publish information and report on activities through texts, videos and films on JPC social media platforms to enhance JPC’s image and tell good stories of JPC from the youngsters’ perspective.
40 selected JPC members participated in the workshop on October 20. The workshop featured a talk by Senior Inspector of PR Wing Chan Yat-ting on interviewing and short-film shooting techniques, as well as experience sharing by a host of Offbeat 120s. The participants said that the workshop enhanced their knowledge of professional reporting and filmmaking skills. They felt proud to become Minibean interns and looked forward to putting their talents and acquired skills into practice when they do reporting on social media platforms in the future.
