Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) collaborated with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) to launch Safe Community Plus+ for the first time. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee and Executive Director of HKFYG Ms Hsu Siu-man officiated at the opening ceremony held at Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School on October 29, attracting attendance of about 50 teachers and students.

Safe Community Plus+ features a variety of interactive games, including AI Chatbot, which simulates dialogues to teach participants how to react and report when facing a suspicious situation. A display screen is installed on the exterior of the truck for showing public education videos such as “Run, Hide, Report” and “Spot and Report”. Safe Community Plus+ will visit different schools and communities in the coming four months to raise security awareness among the public.
