HKI
Hong Kong Island (HKI) hosted the Regional Family Fun Day on November 16 and 17 to foster a sense of belonging among staff. Officers, their families and friends were brought together and spent a weekend filled with joy and memories. Members of Junior Police Call and Senior Police Call were also invited to join the event this year with a view to strengthening the bonding with the community. The day was packed with a variety of activities, including performances by different formations and booth games that aimed at promoting messages of healthy life-style, anti-drugs and anti-scam.
Regional Commander of HKI Kwok Ka-chuen expressed gratitude for the hard work of officers and support from the community in the past year. He also thanked all the helpers and volunteers for their contributions in making the event a great success.
KE
Kowloon East (KE) held the KE Sports Day on November 21. With the theme of combining technology with sports, the sports day was held in an innovative way, attracting more than 500 people to compete in various competitions. In addition to traditional sport events, three new sports, namely Mölkky, pickleball and e-cycling, were introduced to the Sports Day, adding technological and innovative elements to the day. After intense contests, the overall Formation Championship was awarded to Operations of KE.
Regional Commander (RC) of KE Dr Law Yuet-wing, Deputy RC of KE Mark Anstiss and respective District Commanders came to the venue to cheer the competitors on. They encouraged officers to continue pursuing a healthy lifestyle.
KW
Kowloon West (KW) held its Regional Sports Day on November 12 to encourage officers to adopt a healthy lifestyle, as well as promoting internal communication and team spirit. The day attracted over 450 officers participating in various sporting events. After intense competition, the Overall Champions for Formation and Minor Formation were awarded to Yau Tsim District and Operations of KW respectively.
Regional Commander (RC) of KW Ng Lok-chun and all formation Commanders were present to cheer the participants on and encourage officers to continue pursuing a healthy lifestyle.
