Police College organised a Management Development Programme seminar titled Sharing Session on the Spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (Third Plenary Session of 20th CPC Central Committee) on December 9, 2024. Hong Kong members of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Mr Tsang Wai-hung and Mr Lau Yip-shing were invited to be the keynote speakers. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, together with more than 130 regular and auxiliary officers ranked at superintendent or above and their civilian equivalents, attended the event.

Mr Lau introduced the background and past development of the Third Plenary Session of CPC Central Committee (Third Plenary Session). He explained the main ideas and spirit of the previous Third Plenary Sessions and brought out the principles and key points of Third Plenary Session of 20th CPC Central Committee. From the perspective of political system, Mr Tsang explored and analysed the theme and spirit of the 20th National Congress of CPC and Third Plenary Session of 20th CPC Central Committee. He pointed out that Hong Kong should seize the opportunity of the country’s rapid development and facilitate the country’s development goals while giving full play to the strengths of Hong Kong.

The keynote speakers also exchanged views with the participants to have a deeper and more profound knowledge and understanding of the spirit of Third Plenary Session of 20th CPC Central Committee.
