Commissioner Siu Chak-yee visited Traffic Kowloon West (T KW) on December 10, 2024 to exchange views with frontline officers. Having listened attentively to the measures undertaken by T KW in traffic policing and its initiatives in supporting frontline officers, the Commissioner shared his own experience and provided guidance. He also recognised the effectiveness of T KW using its Task Force Sub-unit and Road Safety Unit to work in partnership with the food delivery platforms in combating illegal acts of delivery workers.


The Commissioner also discussed with frontline officers on the challenges they faced during their daily duties and addressed their enquiries on Force development, work procedures, human resource management and welfare. He emphasised his dedication to providing effective support for frontline officers, and reminded them that they should have empathy for the citizens seeking help and execute their duties with professionalism.

The Commissioner visited the Emergency Unit of New Territories South (EU NTS) on November 20, 2024 to understand the in-house training and tactics for officers to more effectively deal with incidents involving suspected mentally disordered persons and targeted vehicles. He also recognised EU’s efforts in arranging regular training. Moreover, the Commissioner exchanged with the officers on their daily challenges and responded to their suggestions on work procedures, human resources and enhancing public safety.
