NSalute
To extend thanks to Force members for their support to national security work and enhance their sense of mission in being a National Security Defender, the National Security Department (NSD) set up a booth for making personalised “NSalute Thank You Postcards” at the Police Headquarters between December 2 and 6, 2024. The booth was then moved to the PHM Carnival on December 8, 2024. More than 3 000 AI-produced photos and thank you cards were given away in the event. For the upcoming Chinese People’s Police Day on January 10, 2025, one of two limited editions “NSalute Thank You Postcards” is distributed with this issue of OffBeat to express our gratitude for everyone’s contribution to national security.
Constitution and Basic Law, Your Lifelong Guardians
Given that December 4, 2024 was the Constitution Day, NSD placed display boards at the NSalute booth to enhance the understanding of the public and Force members of the Constitution. A small exhibition was staged at the Hong Kong Museum of History on December 7 and 8, 2024 to showcase how the Constitution and the Basic Law are closely related to our lives. The two-day exhibition brought in more than 400 new followers to NSD’s WeChat account.
Celebrating fifth anniversary of NSD
To celebrate its upcoming fifth anniversary, NSD is going to set up a time-limited pop-up store at Arsenal House West Wing from January 9 to 22, 2025. A booth featuring “People’s Police writing fai chun to celebrate Spring Festival” and the “NSpring Wishing Tree” will be there to greet you. Welcome to join us.
