Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch held the PHM Carnival 2024 cum Annual Force Colours Awards Presentation Ceremony at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on December 8, 2024. The event was attended by
13 000 participants, including regular and auxiliary police officers, civilian officers and family members of the officers.


The theme of the carnival was “Stay Active, Full of Energy and Fun”. The event featured experiences on fencing and the emerging sport “Air Storm”, police dog training demonstrations and various performances. There were also game stalls, a dog play area, inflatable obstacle courses and a bouncy playground.


Commissioner Siu Chak-yee served as guest of honour at the Annual Force Colours Awards Presentation Ceremony.
32 officers were awarded the Annual Force Colours Award for Sports while 13 officers were presented with the Award for Arts for their excellence. Police Athletics Club’s member Chief Inspector Chan Sin-hang was awarded the Watson Cup while the New Territories North (NTN) Regional Headquarters was awarded the Purdon Shield.


At the same time, seven Fitness Training Room Management Excellence Awards were presented at the ceremony. Traffic Kowloon West won the Gold Award while Central District and Tseung Kwan O District won the Silver and Bronze Awards respectively. NTN Regional Headquarters, New Territories South Regional Headquarters, Sha Tin Division and Marine Regional Headquarters received the Merit Award. This year, the Best Police Catering Service Award was established to commend the award-winning police canteen contractors for providing high quality catering services to officers. Marine North Division won the Gold Award while Western Division and Sai Kung Division won the Silver and Bronze Awards respectively. Marine East Division, Castle Peak Division and Yuen Long Division received the Merit Award.


Furthermore, the new mobile app “PSG App” was launched by the Psychological Services Group during the ceremony to enhance officers’ knowledge about mental health.
