To tie in with the Chinese People’s Police Day on January 10 and to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year and 5th anniversary of the establishment of the National Security Department (NSD), NSD organised the NSpring Chinese People’s Police Day cum Chinese New Year Celebration Calligraphy Session at the Police Headquarters. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, Deputy Commissioner (National Security) Kan Kai-yan and Director of National Security Kong Hok-lai officiated at the opening ceremony of the event.


The Commissioner wrote Chinese calligraphy for the fai chun at the ceremony, wishing our country security and stability, and everyone peace and wealth in the coming year. The fai chun was then displayed on the NSpring Wishing Tree. The Hong Kong Police Handicraft Club and Hong Kong Police Painting and Calligraphy Club were invited to lend their support. Ceramics works were exhibited to pay tribute to members of the Force. Instructors gave on-site demonstrations and coach on writing fai chun. The event attracted over a thousand officers, who wrote their wishes and hung them on the NSpring Wishing Tree.
