The 15th National Games (NG) will be co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao for the first time in November. To ensure orderly progression of the preparatory work, Operations Wing has initiated a series of Security and Major Event Coordinator training programmes. A four-day 15th NG Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Commanders Management Workshop took place between January 5 and 8. Over ten management representatives from Guangdong Public Security Bureau and Macao Public Security Police Force were invited to have in-depth exchange with frontline commanders of the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) involving in the organisation of NG for fostering tripartite liaison and collaboration.
The participants observed a tabletop exercise held by HKPF, shared their experience in organising major sports events and had an understanding on the progress of preparation within the three territories for coordinating and optimising respective operational plans.
