The Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) was once again invited to set questions and serve as the adjudicator in the 10th National Digital Forensics Competition, known as the Meiya Cup, held in Xiamen between November 8 and 10, 2024. Over 1 000 teams from the national forensics industry, law enforcement agencies and academia, comprising nearly 3 000 individuals, competed in the significant annual event of the industry.

CSTCB, in collaboration with the University of Hong Kong and a local innovation and technology firm, organised the first International Digital Forensics Challenge (IDFC) held between November 19 and 20, 2024. CSTCB was responsible to create the scenario framework for the challenge. The first IDFC took place in Hong Kong, joined by 10 teams from law enforcement agencies of various countries, including South Korea, Thailand and Cambodia.
