The Singapore Police Force sent a four-member delegation which comprised two senior science officers and two post-blast experts to come to Hong Kong to attend the Post-Blast Investigation Course delivered by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau between January 20 and 24.
The five-day course covered different professional aspects, including principles of explosion, post-blast scene handling, reconstruction of post-blast improvised explosive devices, technical investigation and expert witness statement writing. The trainees, who had the opportunity to handle highly authentic simulated explosion scenarios, said that the course enhanced their skill and confidence in post-blast investigation. They also looked forward to more training and sharing opportunities with the Hong Kong Police Force.
