To raise public awareness of crime prevention, the Crime Prevention Bureau (CPB) arranged the Crime Prevention Promotion Truck for a two-week tour across the territory between January 8 and 21. In addition to explaining to the public common frauds and preventive measures, CPB officers collaborated with Regional Crime Prevention Offices, Police Community Relations Offices, District Fight Crime Committees, District Services and Community Care Teams, District Councillors and members of the local community to present smart home security devices to and played anti-burglary interactive games with visitors for encouraging the public to install the devices. Video clips were also played in the truck to remind the public to properly secure their personal belongings when travelling.
