Since the signing of the Bonding Statement between Marine (MAR) and the Hong Kong Sea Cadet Corps (HKSCC) in 2021, both parties have formulated strategies on facilitating youth development with an aim to help the youths to become upright and good citizens with contribution to the society. On December 12, 2024, Deputy District Commander of Marine Port District Chow Shun-wai was appointed as the new Commanding Officer by the Area Committee of the HKSCC, succeeding Senior Superintendent Yuen Ching-fong who had served for four years. Chow Shun-wai expressed his gratitude for Yuen Ching-fong’s selfless dedication to the team over the past four years and pledged to do his utmost to cultivate a patriotic spirit among young people and contribute to the society.
