The Force and the Vocational Training Council (VTC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 28 to enhance the professional training of police officers and support young people in developing their vocational plans. The collaboration aims to provide young individuals who aspire to join the disciplined services with a deeper understanding of policing work.

Witnessed by Commissioner Siu Chak-yee (CP) and VTC Chairman Mr Tony Tai, Deputy Commissioner (Management) (DCP MAN) Chan Joon-sun and Deputy Executive Director of VTC Dr Alaina Shum signed the MOU. In the event, two serving police officers graduated from VTC had a dialogue with CP to share their memorable moment about policing work with VTC students.

The Force will assist VTC in enriching the curriculum of the full-time Higher Diploma in Management for Disciplined Services programme, to share recruitment information and anti-crime and anti-deception messages with VTC students, as well as providing internship opportunities. VTC may provide suitable training programmes for police officers and Junior Police Call members to enhance training for the Force and teenagers.
