Force Media Liaison Cadre (FMLC) was established a decade ago and comprises by now a total of 240 members. With a view to enhancing members’ professional competency and promoting a positive partnership between the Force and the media, two training courses were organised by FMLC Secretariat in January and February respectively, enabling members to keep pace with the times by acquiring the latest knowledge of media ecology. The courses targeted at all incumbent members and 28 new recruits, covering areas on conflict management, mediation skills, media ecology as well as sharing sessions.
In his speech, Chief Superintendent (Public Relations) Leung Chung-man affirmed and highly recognised the past performance of FMLC and presented appointment letters to new members. He encouraged new members to continue serving as a bridge between the Force and the media, while collectively telling good police stories.
