The first meeting of the Working Group on Technological, Automotive and Tactical Innovations in Operational Policing was convened on February 26 under the chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner (Operations) (ACP OPS) David Jordan. The meeting brought together the academics, representatives from various operational units, other law enforcement agencies, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and Cyberport, as well as overseas strategic working partners, including experts in robotics, drone technology and advanced policing equipment.


At the meeting, ACP OPS addressed the importance of structured research and development of mechanism. He extended his appreciation to the contributions of all attendees. He also highlighted that the Force would continue to promote the development of operational policing through the adoption of innovative solutions.


A key focus of the meeting was to explore and learn from the practical experience of Singapore in the application of advanced policing technologies, so as to enhance our operational efficiency by ways of optimising resource allocation and avoiding duplication of efforts. The meeting also featured presentations and live demonstrations conducted by associate members and strategic working partners from the Singapore Police Force, which provided valuable insights into various innovative policing solutions.
