The Force and Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) cohosted the 2025 Chinese New Year Charity Slam Fest All-Star Game at the Police Officers’ Club on March 2. The event aimed to raise funds for Junior Police Call (JPC) and the TVB, Staff and Artistes Fund for Charities, with proceeds supporting youth development and aiding underprivileged communities. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee and Assistant General Manager (Corporate Communications) of TVB Ms Wong Tak-wei, together with other officiating guests, attended the event to cheer for the players. The match attracted approximately 250 spectators.
The participating teams were the TVB Stars Team, Police Basketball Team and JPC Team. The lineup of players in the TVB Stars Team included artistes Mr Hui Ka-kit, Ms Lau Wing-shuen, Mr Ho Kwong-pui, Mr Law Tin-yu, Mr Cheung Chi-ho and Mr Cheng Hin-fung. The commentary was provided by Mr Ho Chun-yin. Singers Mr Ho Chun-lok and Ms Zhan Tianwen also sang for the audience.
The event demonstrated the strong connections among the Force, teenagers and various social sectors. The Force hoped to keep getting closer to young people for achieving the synergy where “one plus one is larger than two.”
