The Marine Police Dragon Boat Team braved tough competition from around the world to pick up two second places at the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival held on July 3 and 4.

The team was narrowly out-paced in the men's plate final by frantic rowing from the tough Philippine Marine Corps Team. The Lantau Island Southern District Sap Long Dragon Boat Club finished up third.
However the Police team's fierce old dragon boat rival the Fire Services Department pipped them at the post to take the final of the disciplinary forces event. However another top performance saw the Auxiliary Police Dragon Boat Team come home in a strong third place behind their Regular colleagues.
