CPB advice goes cyber

Up to the minute crime prevention information is now conveniently available on-line 24 hours a day. A bilingual website has been set up by the Crime Prevention Bureau and contains useful data on a host of topics, such as Police Regional information, crime prevention advisories, computer security and the latest con-tricks.

It also includes detailed information on the various services provided by the Bureau and contacts for its relevant sections.

Launched on July 14, the page will be regularly updated and will soon be expanded with additional features.

The site will help the Bureau raise public awareness on crime prevention and it can be downloaded at:

http://www.info.gov.hk/police/cpb. Or simply use the convenient link on the Force homepage, straight to the site.

In addition, the CPB has just installed a new fax-on-demand call-fax system for members of the public to receive crime prevention advice through fax by calling 2722-6885.
