Voluntary Medical Insurance Scheme for Civil Servants The Standing Committee on Medical and Dental Facilities for Civil Servants has approved Blue Cross (Asia-Pacific) Insurance Limited, HSBC Medical Insurance Limited and BUPA (Asia) Limited as carriers for the voluntary medical insurance scheme for civil servants for one year from July 1, 1999. There is no change in the terms and conditions of their health care plans for civil servants and the existing premium and benefit schedules would continue to apply. Only serving civil servants and their eligible dependants as defined in CSR 900 are permitted to join the scheme. All application forms should be signed by an officer of the respective formation whose rank should be an Executive Officer II or equivalent or above. Processing and approving of applications are solely matters of the insurance companies. |
