Top service applauded
(The following letter was sent to the District Commander of Eastern) My house in the Metropole Building, North Point, was robbed on May 31, 1999 when my father, a 79-year-old man, was home alone and tied up by four thieves. My father called 999 after he untied himself. Your Team 4 CID members arrived at the scene quickly.
We are not only impressed by the integrity, efficiency and professional manner which your team had demonstrated during the investigation, but most of all, the patience and care they had shown to my elderly father who was scared to death. My thanks go to, in particular, Detective Woman Sergeant Ma Miu-ling and Detective Police Constable Sung Yuen-wah of North Point Police Station. Both of them lived up to the "Serving the Community"slogan of the Hong Kong Government.
My parents and I were invited to the station to have our fingerprints taken on June 1. Again, Mr Sung did a good job. The effort and sincerity of the Police in dealing with our case has really left us with a very positive impression.
In our daily life, we have contacts with different government departments and this is the first time we have had direct contact with the Police. We conclude that the service of the Hong Kong Police Force is the best among government departments we have ever encountered!
As Hong Kong citizens, we are proud of you and please keep up the good performance!
