Fresh face for Police programme

Friendly faces: The new lineup of Police presenters Alvina Lai, Kathy Chau, Luke Tsang and Charmaine Yip

Some changes have taken place at the Force's television programme Police Report and its Cantonese-language sister show Police Magazine.

Woman Inspector Charmaine Yip Pang is the new face of the programmes taking over from WIP Maxim Kwok Mei-sum.

A graduate in communications from Baptist University, WIP Yip joined the Force more than three years ago and was formerly posted in Siu Lek Yuen Division.

She said the production of Police Magazine had grown a lot more sophisticated over the years, and the show has kept up with modern trends. "So this new posting will allow me to know more about various police duties and broaden my scope of vision," WIP Yip said.

Another new presenter will also appear in Police Magazine, television personality Kathy Chau Hoi-mei.

Since October 9, Police Magazine has been broadcast on TVB Jade every Saturday at 7 pm.

It is repeated on ATV Home at 9 am Sundays and from 8.30 pm Mondays on Cable News 1.

However the English version, Police Report, will continue to be broadcast on TVB Pearl every Saturday at 7.20 pm.

It is repeated at 6.55 pm every Sunday on ATV World.
