Director of Management Services Lau Yuk-kuen presented awards to 16 officers on October 8, under the Police Staff Suggestions Scheme.
About 80 officers attended the 12th annual ceremony held at the Police Officers' Club, with the awardees including an Auxiliary Police Constable, the first Auxie to receive the award.
They received cash awards of up to $2,000 for their valuable suggestions. Two awards for the Police Staff Motivation Scheme were also presented to Eastern District and a team comprised of Anti-Illegal Immigration Control Centre, Border District and Communications Branch officers.
Others at the ceremony included Assistant Commissioner of Police (Service Quality) H. M. Blud, Regional Commander Hong Kong Island Leung Chi-bun and Senior Superintendent of the Police Public Relations Branch Eddie Lam Wah-chiu.
