DCP OPS applauds exercise 'professionalism'

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Peter Wong Tsan-kwong thanked and complimented officers involved in the joint Hong Kong, Guangdong and Macau sea exercise off Zhuhai on October 7 and 8.

After the drill, Mr Wong said officers conducted it in a very "positive and professional manner".

"It has well achieved the purpose of showing the determination and co-operation of the three forces in maintaining law and order at sea. A job very well done, thank you," Mr Wong said.

More than 100 Force officers and 10 Police launches took part in the seaborne exercise, the first ever conducted jointly by Hong Kong, Guangdong and Macau authorities. Director of Operations Dick Lee Ming-kwai and Regional Commander of Marine Foo Tsun-kong also attended.

Mr Wong said the drill helped strengthen co-ordination among the three parties in combating crime at sea.
