The Allowances Comprise 2 Parts:
(i) accountable part: 75% for renting accommodation
(ii) non accountable part: 25%

Allowance Amount - will be reviewed on April 1 each year

Change of Accommodation

If officers wish to terminate their existing lease before its original expiry date and change to other accommodation, they should give prior notice to DAS at least 14 days before the change.

An officer should submit a fresh application two months before the current lease expires for renewal of an existing lease. If a fresh application is not received as expected, payment of the allowance will be suspended automatically on the date the lease expires.
