Department stores and shopping malls thanked
Five Hong Kong Island department stores and shopping malls were recently applauded by Police for screening anti-crime messages on their giant video screens between July and September.
At a tea reception held on November 3 at the Officers' Mess at Hong Kong Island Regional Headquarters, HKI Regional Commander Leung Chi-bun presented souvenirs to representatives of the companies and cheered their assistance.
Messages screened included those on street deceptions, modelling agency scams and burglaries.
Mr Leung said the warnings caught the eye of a large number of people and helped reduce crime during the period.
