 Tennis troops: Members of the Police Tennis Club's Team E celebrate after receiving their trophies |
Two Police Tennis Club teams received their trophies on October 21 for their top performances in the last Hong Kong Tennis Association Winter League. The Club's Men's Group B team won the championship while Group E took out its second First Runners-up prize since 1991.
Although the league ended last January, the awards were only presented after completion of the summer series.
The ceremony at Victoria Park saw players presented with individual trophies along with a large trophy for each team.
The Club said participation in open sports events facilitated interaction with the public and promoted a healthy image of the Force.
