Tranquil training centre re-opens

ACP P Yam Tat-wing and a volunteer offer a budding young artist a souvenir for his colourful contribution to the Centre's wall

The newly-renovated Tai Mei Tuk Activities and Training Centre was re-opened during a ceremony on November 27.

Situated in Shuen Wan Country Park in Tai Po, the centre was formerly a venue for Police adventure training. Apart from its tranquil location, it sports a scenic view of Tolo Harbour and Plover Cove Reservoir and is an ideal place for training courses or recreation and sports activities.

Officiating at the opening ceremony were Assistant Commissioner of Police (Personnel) Yam Tat-wing, Chief Superintendent (Personnel Services) Martin Samson, Senior Superintendent (Catering, Clubs, Sports and Recreation) Tse Shu-chun and Superintendent (Sports and Recreation) Mak Kwai-sing.

The Police Chinese Culture Club Chinese Orchestra provided the music and about 100 officers and their children partook in mural painting.
