From Personnel Wing: Salaries Tax Deduction for Uniform and Equipment Maintenance (1999/2000)

The Commissioner of Inland Revenue has agreed the tax deduction rate for laundry to all uniformed police officers is to be $2,650. Officers should note that this is not automatically given and they must make a personal claim when completing their annual salary return.
