Tai Po District Commander To Ho-kee presented letters of appreciation to 26 officers on December 29 for their excellent performances. Also, letters and cash awards were presented to four civic-minded citizens who assisted Police. One witnessed a head-basing robbery and apprehended the culprit who was jailed for three-and-a-half years. The assistance of another two citizens led to the arrest of two men stealing from a vehicle. Both offenders were jailed for four months.
