 Thicker than blood: Guests and recipients at the Red Cross ceremony |
Some 21 Force staff were presented souvenirs during the Annual Donor Award Ceremony 2000 organised by the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service on May 2.
Officiating guests at the ceremony at a Central hotel included Secretary for Security Regina Ip, Red Cross President and Director Betty Tung, Red Cross Chairman T.L. Yang and Hospital Authority Chief Executive Dr William Ho.
Some 500 people were awarded during the ceremony for giving up to 200 blood donations. Schools and organisations who have helped the Red Cross collect blood were also commended.
