OffBeat giving coverage to all?
I fully appreciate what Chief Superintendent Steve Chandler says about Police pride in his column in OffBeat (Issue 676). However, I would like to know if it is because Mr Chandler is a Chief Superintendent that OffBeat carries his column? Would it not be more interesting if OffBeat could expand its scope and include more views and articles from members across the Force? I have sent my views to OffBeat in the past. Regrettably, there has been no response. The OffBeat Editorial Committee has through various channels urged staff to give their views. However, I think it is empty talk. It would be a sad thing if officers have to resort to other means to express views.
