OffBeat chief set for correction!

OffBeat Editor Lam Fai has put down his police notebook to head the Correctional Services Department's Public Relations Section.
"Brother Fai" as he was known to colleagues around the Police Public Relations Branch, transferred to the CSD post on July 4 as Acting Principal Information Officer.
Ah-Fai "The Friendly Guy" leaves behind a horde of new-found Police and PPRB mates, despite having only taken up the Editor's chair in September.
"I am sad to be going as I've learned a lot about the Force during my brief stay and have really warmed to the OffBeat duties, writing and editing Police stories and going to Force locations across Hong Kong," he said.
"However, I am now looking forward to the challenges of working at CSD, and intend to keep in close contact with all my Force friends."
OffBeat reporter Linda Cheng has been promoted to Acting Senior Information Officer and is acting as OffBeat's Editor over the coming months before moving across to the PPRB newsroom.
