The Chairman's Trophy Annual Basketball Tournament for officers' children came to an exciting close August 17 with the Special Agents overcoming the tough competition.
The 40-strong youngsters completed five-week summer training before being split into four teams to compete for the trophy. The Special Agents fought off the Parkinson Giants with long passes and swift attacks to take the final.
Blue Devils' player Tang King-sing won the Best Rebound Player award, while Special Agents' Yan Ho-chun won the Best Shooter and Best Assist Player. His team's coaches Chan Wing-kwong and Cheng Chi-keung shared the Best Coach prize. All players were given certificates and souvenirs.
The Police Basketball Club is looking to organise a Millennium Trophy tournament in December. Watch this space.
