The classic Henry Shield annual relay race is on again October 23, plying the scenic 3.7-kilometre Aberdeen Reservoir course.
The four-man and three-lady teams will compete in the following categories: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, New Territories and Marine Districts/Units; Specialist/ Training Units (such as Police Tactical, Special Duties, Airport Security Units, etc); Ladies (from the same District/Unit, three per team, may import one runner - there is no age limit); Seniors (aged 35-39); and finally, Veterans (40-plus).
There is no limit on the number of teams entering each category, but Units must specify A, B or C team, etc.
The race gets underway at 3 pm, and registration closes at 2 pm.
The $150 fee per team (cheque payable to the Police Sports Council, Police Athletics Club) must accompany each entry form which should be sent to C PTI, PTS, by October 16.
