There have been instances where officers have difficulties in taking out third party insurance for their private vehicles, such as high premium rates, exclusions of duty hours and police purposes, etc.

Personnel Services Branch has obtained information about some insurance brokers that offer motor insurance to officers on more reasonable terms. The information is available through TSROs and Regional Welfare Offices.
