Haider hails PC Lee

I write to commend Police Constable Lee Kam-chau (Aberdeen Division Patrol Sub-unit Team Four) for the exemplary manner in which he attended to his duties in conducting inquires following a traffic accident.

It involved my official car and a taxi on September 8. I hasten to add that I was not in the car at the time and cannot give a personal account of what happened. According to my chauffeur, the taxi driver did not stop after the accident. It so happened the passenger in the taxi lives in the same block of apartments as I do and my chauffeur caught up with them in the driveway. He called me and I was present when PC Lee arrived at the scene. I stood by as an observer and was impressed with the way the inquiries were conducted.

PC Lee was tactful and courteous to both parties. He also obtained the necessary details from the passenger who witnessed the accident. Several other officers soon arrived and breathalyser tests were conducted and necessary information and details taken down.

PC Lee was most professional. He does the Police proud. I convey my appreciation to him.
