National Day festivities went off without a hitch yet again on October 1 thanks to the top performances of officers both in the official ceremony, and out of it.
Police raised the National and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Flags outside the Convention and Exhibition Centre as the Police Band supplied the musical accompaniment. Officers also participated in the disciplined services marches.
Meanwhile, another team of officers were busy controlling crowds and traffic around the venue, ensuring security of the vicinity and of the VIPs in attendance.
Later, closed roads and crowd control was called for again, but on a much larger scale for the National Day fireworks display over Victoria Harbour. Officers kept order in the packed prime-viewing spots like Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui, to ensure a fun and safe day was had by all!
