More than 30 serving and former Force officers and civilians received commendation medals from Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa on October 14, at Government House.
Retired Chief Superintendents Chan Tit-kin and Patrick Lai Pak-hay, as well as CSP Mike Francis received Hong Kong Police Medals for Distinguished Service. Some 26 other officers were awarded Hong Kong Police Medals for Meritorious Service, one got a Medal of Honour while another received the Chief Executive's Commendation for Government Service.
