Motorcycle gear a soggy issue

I would like to raise the following suggestions to help improve the equipment of traffic officers.

1. The metal Force badge on the new full-face helmet creates a gap allowing rainwater to get in through the visor on rainy days. I would suggest a plastic badge sticker be used instead.

2. Rain water also seeps through the supposedly waterproof motorcycle boots now in use. I would like to suggest waterproof spray be distributed to officers.

Traffic Headquarters' response . . .
We are aware of the problem of rainwater seeping into the helmet. PStore is now working with the supplier to solve this and one proposal is to use a police badge sticker to replace the metal one. For motorcycle boots in bad weather, to my understanding, the Frank Thomson M/C Boot does have this problem and we have referred it to PStore to look into.

Despite the recent switch from Frank Thomson boots to POSIG ones, it is an on-going process to improve the kit and equipment of traffic officers. We are always exploring new methods and products with a view to improve conditions for frontline officers.
