A Central Traffic Prosecutions Bureau workshop was held at Kowloon East Operational Base September 20, for officers to share experience in handling traffic offences.
Senior Superintendents Chan Yiu-wing and Joseph Cheung Sau-wah and others spoke at the workshop with about 30 officers in attendance. They were advised to issue verbal warnings instead of fixed penalty tickets or summons for minor violations to better educate drivers. Questions were also taken on their daily work and views.
The session was aimed at boosting their co-operation and efficiency. More workshops would be organised for different formations.
