Fight crime carnival in Western

Western District officers and Junior Police Call Activities Committee members held a carnival-cum-award presentation on November 4, for a kite design competition to raise anti-crime awareness.
During the carnival, members of the public were treated to stall games and a host of performances including a singsong by the winners of the 18 Districts Fight Crime Singing Contest and a cycling extravaganza.
In addition, there was a display of the winning pieces in the kite competition which was held in September to arouse the youngsters' awareness of crime prevention. And it proved very popular, being well-received by secondary school students from across Western and Southern Districts.
The Western District Commander Barry Griffin, Western District JPC Activities Committee Chairman Choi Koon-shum, Southern District Officer Yip Lee Hang-yee, and Central and Western District Fight Crime Committee Chairman Chan Hay; officiated at the opening of the carnival at Police Training School.
