After bringing home a slew of medals from the Shanghai UIT Interport Shooting Competition last month, Police Shooting Club members Edgar Yang Joe-tsi, Patrick Man Kin-hung and Stephen Lee Siu-wah took out three major events in the 24th Southeast Asia Shooting Championships in Hanoi, November 22 to 27.
Up against marksmen from 10 countries, the trio formed a solid team with two other Hong Kong representatives to take bronze in the team rapid, centre and standard firing events. Man also came third in the individual standard firing.
Yang, Man and Lee also represented the SAR in the 16th Guangzhou/Hong Kong/Macau UIT Shooting Championships in Macau, December 8 to 10. They secured six gold, two silver and one bronze medal. The feat was the best ever recorded by the Force in the event.
