Eddie's thoughts on the future
"I think internal communication will continue to improve. Also there is an expected increase in the population while at the same time resources will become less, so the Force will be doing more work with fewer resources. Hopefully EPP will help prepare the Force for this.
"To compensate for fewer resources, we will have to improve IT support with better computers and communications and other things like vessels to enhance the capabilities and efficiency of our officers.
"Force recruits are becoming better educated and therefore the quality of them is better than before. Also there is this culture of self-learning and improvement. This will further improve the quality of the Force.
"Meanwhile, the close monitoring of the Force by the media and politicians will continue. Although it does not make the job any easier, it is part and parcel of any modern and free society."
