More than 80 Junior Police Call members and groups were hailed January 20 for their top contributions to community services, crime fighting and the JPC scheme.
The Hongkong Bank Foundation JPC Awards 2000 were presented at the Police Sports and Recreation Club by Commissioner Tsang Yam-pui, Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Douglas Lau Yuk-kuen and HSBC Senior Executive Tse Man-bun.
The annual awards were divided into four categories: Best JPC Member, Best JPC Leader, Best JPC School Club and the Best JPC Council. Sham Shui Po's Cheung Mei-kuen was selected best member while Eastern's Fung Yin-cheung was named best leader. SSPo's Holy Trinity College won best school club, while best council went to SSPo District JPC Council.
