The Force received a major prize at the award ceremony for the recently completed Corporate Games 2000, on January 5.
Police picked up the trophy for the Overall Team Championship winner, with Force sports clubs taking out the Distance Run, Badminton Group A, and Table Tennis competitions, along with 1st runner-up titles in the squash and swimming events.
Catering, Sports and Recreation Superintendent Eric Lee received the trophy on behalf of the Force, with representatives of the Police Athletics, Badminton and Table Tennis Clubs also attending the ceremony at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department Headquarters, Sha Tin.
Mr Lee said although not all Force teams earned a place in the overall ranking, numerous individual officers attained top results and he hailed their performances.
